Zsolt Takacs is based in Budapest, Hungary, and has extensive knowledge of the business environment in China due to his almost 20 years of experience working with Chinese companies. Currently he is the managing director of Depo Intermodal Logistics HUB in Budapest one of the biggest logistics HUBs in Hungary providing services as Cargo Container Terminal, Rail and Road transportation, warehousing, bonded warehouse and product customization.
Previously he managed the Central European Trade and Logistics Cooperation Zone (CECZ) Group Ltd. and its subsidiaries such as Budapest China Mart trade development centreand the Hungarian and German logistics & distribution HUBs of the group with services in Europe and China in general cargo and e-commerce. Out of the core activities of the group he managedcapital investment, M&A and joint venture formation, provide consulting services,prepare market entry studies, arranges exhibitions and business-to-business events. As general manager of Chinese brand Hisense’s LCD and PDP TV factory in Hungary, he managed the first Chinese investment in the CEE region.
Former experience gained at Electronical Manufacturing Services (EMS) sectorat worldwide leader Flextronics providing manufacturing, logistics & distribution services for well known multinational companies such as DELL, NEC, HP, Kodak etc. He holds degrees in mechanical engineering, Eur. Ing, and MBA and has been delivering trainings on doing business in China for Business schools and theEU funded China SME Centre on a regular basis.
He is registered lead auditor for ISO 9001 systems and auditor of integrated management systems. He is a member of the board at ChinaChamChinese-Hungarian Chamber of Economy since 2010. As associated expert to the EU SME CENTRE (Beijing) an EU funded project, he holds trainings and workshops across Europe in the following topics: China market entry, import/export procedures, logistics, standards, compulsory certification, company formation, contracting, due diligence, intellectual property rights, intercultural management.
