Hungarian Contemporary Art Exhibition opened at the Chongqing Art Museum  

On October 17th, the opening ceremony of Hungarian contemporary art was held at the Chongqing Art Museum. The exhibition will last until November 4th and it is free to the public.

The exhibition was hosted by the Chongqing Yuzhong District People’s Government, the Hungarian Embassy in Beijing, the Beijing Hungarian Cultural Center, and the Hungarian Consulate General in Chongqing.

The Deputy District Head of the People’s Government of Yuzhong District, Chongqing, and Consul General of the Consulate General of Hungary in Chongqing both attended and gave the speech at the opening ceremony, also about 200 people attended the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition.

The exhibition has a variety of styles and genres, covering pop art, expressionism, abstraction and realism. It aims to showcase the contemporary art scene of Hungary. The exhibition will also showcase two works by the Hungarian artistAntal Anton Peczely’s “Chongqing Garden” and “Chongqing Portrait”.
